OhioBiz expands to become Ohio’s largest Web Search Directory – presently, containing nearly 34,000 Ohio websites.

CLEVELAND--May 22, 2002--OhioBiz Web Consulting, LLC has expanded its Ohio
business search engine/directory web site, OhioBiz, at http://www.ohiobiz.com.
The, over one-year old, search directory provides visitors simple, quick and
efficient access to nearly 34,000 Ohio-based business, community, organization
and education-related websites.
OhioBiz owner and founder, Mark J. Geyman said "the site offers FREE and
prompt website listings to any company or organization that has a physical presence
in the state of Ohio. One of the site’s major goals is to electronically promote
Ohio's businesses and organizations in one convenient location. Businesses and
organizations are strongly encouraged to submit their sites along with relevant
keywords, keyword phrases, and site descriptions.
“You don’t have to worry about your site showing up as the 50,000th result or
not showing up at all as you might with one of the major search engines. Also,
site submission turn-around time is usually a matter of hours rather than weeks.
All sites are reviewed prior to being included into OhioBiz,” said Geyman.
“It’s pretty amazing! Over the past year, I have personally received all kinds
of questions from OhioBiz visitors - ranging from locating long-lost relatives
to digging up information on Ohio-based companies,” said Geyman. “Many people
use the site to do research on local companies and organizations. In particular,

Searches can be performed by entity name, location, and category. A unique feature
allows a site visitor to search by a graphical county map. By clicking on a
particular map location, results of a search will be generated from that community.
OhioBiz also contains an index of Ohio-based streaming media links (including
Ohio broadcast radio and television stations, Internet-only stations, police
scanning, weather info, etc.).
Within a few weeks, OhioBiz will be offering potential advertisers very reasonable
opportunities to reach, local, OhioBiz visitors in the form of text-based category
and keyword/keyword phrase sponsorships. "We will provide advertisers a
means of sponsoring a particular category or set of targeted keywords/keyword
phrases within OhioBiz,” said Geyman.
Mr. Geyman, who has been a pioneer in developing web-based regional search directories,

Ohio, back in 1995.
