Erie County is located in north central Ohio, and is bordered by Lake Erie to the north, Lorain County to the east, Huron County to the south, and Sandusky and Ottawa Counties to the west. The county seat is Sandusky. According to the 2020 Census, the county has a population of 75,622 people. The economy of Erie County is centered around manufacturing, tourism, and agriculture. The county is home to several small manufacturing companies, and is also a major tourist destination, with a number of popular attractions, including the Cedar Point amusement park and Kelleys Island State Park. The county is known for its beautiful lakefront communities, and is a popular destination for boating, fishing, and other outdoor recreational activities.
