Coventry Township is a community in southern Summit County that is surrounded by the lakes that make up Portage Lakes State Park. According to its official website, it has a population of 10,900 residents and was founded in 1806. Some of the places of interest in Coventry Township are the Coventry Clock Tower, which serves as a historic landmark in the heart of the Portage Lakes, and the Ohio and Erie Canal, which was a major mode of transportation in the 19th century. The township is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees and a Township Fiscal Officer, who oversee the operation of the Fire Department, Road Department, Parks and Zoning Inspector.
