Allen County is located in northwest Ohio, bordered by Putnam County to the north, Hancock and Hardin Counties to the east, Auglaize County to the south, and Van Wert County to the west. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 102,206. The county seat is Lima. The county has a total area of approximately 411 square miles. It is home to several small towns and villages, including Delphos, Elida, Harrod, Lima, and Spencerville and is predominantly rural, with agriculture and manufacturing being the main industries. Allen County is home to several state and local parks, including Indian Lake State Park, Shawnee Prairie Preserve, and Limaland Motorsports Park.
