Auglaize County is located in west central Ohio, in the Great Miami Valley region of the state, bordered by Hardin County to the east, Logan County to the southeast, Shelby County to the south, Mercer County to the west, and Allen and Van Wert Counties to the north. As of the 2020 Census, the county has a population of 46,422 people. The county seat is Wapakoneta, which is the largest city in the county. The economy of Auglaize County is driven by manufacturing, with a number of major employers in the county, including Honda of America Manufacturing, Inc., Crown Equipment Corporation, and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. The county is also home to a number of small businesses and farms. Auglaize County is home to several parks and recreational areas, including the Auglaize Village Park and the Wapakoneta WaterPark.
