Avon Lake is a city located on the shore of Lake Erie in eastern Lorain County. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, it had a population of 25,588 in 2021. Some of the places of interest in Avon Lake are Miller Road Park, a beachfront park with a playground and a fishing pier; Klingshirn Winery, a family-owned winery that offers wine tasting and events; and Kidsplay Indoor Fun, a play center for children with inflatables and arcade games. Some of the largest employers in Avon Lake are Avon Lake Printing & Signs, a printing company that offers digital, offset, and large format printing services; PolyOne Corporation, a global provider of specialized polymer materials and services; and Ford Motor Company, which operates an engine plant in the city.
