Clermont County is located in southwestern Ohio and has a population of 208,601 as of the 2020 census. It was established in 1800 as part of the Virginia Military District and is the eighth oldest county in Ohio. It is part of the Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area and is named for the Clermont Province of France. The county seat is Batavia. Clermont County is 460 square miles in size and is located east of Cincinnati along the Ohio River. It has a rich history, friendly communities, diverse economy and strong schools.
