Clinton County is located in southwestern Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 42,018. The county seat and largest city is Wilmington. The county is home to several state parks, including Caesar Creek State Park, Cowan Lake State Park, and Caesar Creek Lake State Nature Preserve. The economy of Clinton County is largely based on agriculture and manufacturing, with major employers including Honda, Navistar, and Whirlpool. The county also has a strong presence in education and healthcare, with Wilmington College and Clinton Memorial Hospital located in the county. The county is also home to several historic sites, including the Clinton County Courthouse.
