Hardin County is located in northwest Ohio, bordered by Hancock County to the north, Wyandot and Marion Counties to the east, Logan and Union Counties to the south, and Allen and Auglaize Counties to the west. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 30,696. The county seat is Kenton. The county has a total area of approximately 410 square miles. The county is home to several small towns and villages, including Dunkirk, Forest, Kenton, Ada, and Ridgeway. The county is predominantly rural, with agriculture and manufacturing being the main industries. Hardin County is home to several state and local parks, including the Kenton Wildlife Area, the Kenton Wildlife Preserve, and the Ada-Liberty Township Community Park.
