Morgan County is a county located in southeastern Ohio. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 14,508 people. The county seat is McConnelsville, which is also the largest village in the county. Some of the places of interest in Morgan County include the Big Muskie Bucket, a giant metal bucket that was once part of the world's largest dragline excavator; the Burr Oak State Park, a scenic park with a lake, trails and camping facilities; and the Morgan County Historical Society Museum, which displays artifacts and exhibits related to the county's history. The largest employers in Morgan County are the Morgan Local School District, the Morgan County Commissioners, and the Genesis Healthcare System.
