Vermilion is a city in Erie and Lorain counties. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 10,594. Vermilion is known for its historic downtown, scenic waterfront and public beaches. Some of the places of interest in Vermilion include the Vermilion Lighthouse, the Inland Seas Maritime Museum and the Woollybear Festival. The largest employers in the city are the Vermilion Local School District, Kingston of Vermilion and Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
