Cuyahoga County is located in northeastern Ohio, bordered by Lake Erie to the north, Medina and Summit Counties to the south, Lorain County to the west, and Lake and Geauga Counties to the east. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 1,264,817. The county seat is Cleveland. The county has a total area of approximately 474 square miles and is home to the city of Cleveland, as well as over 50 smaller suburbs and cities, including Beachwood, Brooklyn, Cleveland Heights, Euclid, Parma, Shaker Heights, and Westlake. Cuyahoga County is home to several state and local parks, including Cleveland Metroparks, the Cleveland Lakefront State Park, and the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. The county is also home to several universities and colleges, including Baldwin-Wallace, Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, John Carroll University, Ursuline College and others.
