Geauga County is located in northeastern Ohio, bordered by Cuyahoga County to the west, Lake County to the north, Ashtabula and Trumbull Counties to the east, and Portage County to the south. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 95,397. The county seat is Chardon. The county has a total area of approximately 444 square miles. The county is home to several small towns and villages, including Burton, Chardon, Middlefield, Newbury, and Thompson. The county is predominantly rural, with agriculture and manufacturing being the main industries. Geauga County is home to several state and local parks, including Big Creek Reservation, Holden Arboretum, and Headwaters Park. The county is also home to the Geauga County Public Library and the Geauga County Fair.
