The county seat and largest city is Cincinnati, and it is part of the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. Hamilton County is known for its strong Midwestern values, such as being tough, hardworking, and polite. The county is named for the first Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton and county provides many services to residents and businesses.
