Lucas County is located in northwest Ohio, and is bordered by Michigan to the north, the Maumee River to the east, Wood and Ottawa Counties to the south, and Fulton and Henry Counties to the west. It is named after Robert Lucas, the 12th governor of Ohio. The county seat is Toledo. According to the 2020 Census, the county has a population of 431,279 people. Toledo, the largest city in the county, is a major hub for the automotive and glass industries. The county is also home to several large hospitals, universities, and cultural institutions. The county is known for its diverse and vibrant communities, and is home to a number of interesting attractions, including the Toledo Museum of Art, the Toledo Zoo, and the Toledo Metroparks.
