Oberlin is a city in Lorain County. It has a population of about 8,250 people, according to the 2020 census. Oberlin is best known for being the home of Oberlin College, a liberal arts college that was founded in 1833 and was the first in the country to admit women and black students. Oberlin also has a rich history of social activism and cultural diversity.
